The ceremony has finally ended! They are now Mr. & Mrs. Galen Houser.
Hip-Hip-Hurray!!!

Next, Jonathan, Carrie's brother, and Barbara, a good friend of the Pruss family, sang a very special and meaningful song that fit Galen and Carrie's story perfectly. The song was called "Rejoicing in His love."
They both sounded great!They are such amazing and talented singers and guitar players!

The next very special part of the ceremony was Galen's Dad giving a testimony of what God did in Carrie and Galen's life in bringing them together.
David had a big part in it too, as he responsibly gave Galen direction and guidence in helping him stay focused on God and approching me the way that was pleasing to God.

Before Rick handed his daughter over to Galen, he had a special ring to give to her that expressed his pride and gratefulness he had in his daughters life. Rick knowing that only God could of formed and molded his daughter, he gives God the glory and gives Carrie a ruby ring signifying the virtuous woman he saw in his daughter.
How very special as the ending of his responsibility finalizes and the time approaches to hand over his daughter, placing the responsibility in the hands of the new man in her life. The responsibility that had been his for 24 years.
What incredible grace God gives to every Father in that moment.

~THE CEREMONY~

3:00 has finally come and everyone is here, sitting in their seats waiting to witness what we all have been anticipating for the last 11 months.
Carrie had a long walk to walk wtih her Daddy. The emotion that took place in those three-in-a-half minuets were more then she had ever felt. The memories of her life shared alog side of her dad, mom and her brothers- these memories were all about to be put away in her thoughts forever. Now she is looking at, as he is looking too, the man she is about to share the rest of her life with and make all kinds of new and exciting memories.
He too admires the woman walking towards him about to be handed over to him for the rest of his life. He patiently waits as she walks that slow walk down the isle, as she is staring at only him.
Words cannot express that moment when they both meet together up at that alter and join hands, now knowing that they are about to begin a life-long journey together. Making the their vows to God and eachother and before all their witnesses. What an awesome moment in time that changes both of their directions in life. Once moving in different directions, now walking together down the same path, forever.

Now the guys, they arrived at 1:30pm. They all had to be dressed and ready when they got there and they did, they did a great job and they all looked SO handsome!

It is now approximately 11:30am and all of us girls have arrived at Silver Springs where they will get dressed and eat a lovely, light lunch -provided by Carrie's Grandma and Aunt Sheri and Cousin Lisa- after they get done with all of that, they head to the garden to get their pre-ceremony pictures together.

Carrie was very blessed to have Molley (the friend that always cuts and highlights Carrie's moms hair) to do her hair. She did an awesome job! " I explained just what I wanted and she did it!"

THE DAY HAS FINALLY COME! - Sunday, April 9th, 2006

Well, the day is FINALLY here! That morning, all the Bidesmaids went over to Carrie's house. Dad gave us a good start and went and got us girls bagels from Panaera Bread and we all did our hair and make-up together. We had a few hours to beautify before we headed over to Silver Springs, where we would finish getting ready and get our "before" pictures.

Saturday - THE DAY BEFORE!

Saturday was a busy, but fun day. In the morning some us girls met to get our nails done - fun, fun!
Then that afternoon at Dad and Mom Pruss' house both families got together for some good eats - hamburgers on the grill - and the guys had a good ol' football game in the backyard.

The Rehearsal Dinner - Fri. Evening

After our hard work at the rehearsal, we all headed over to Ruby Tuesday's where Dad & Mom Houser provided the Rehearsal Dinner. We all had a good time together!

The Rehearsal - April 7th, 2006

You are probably wondering why the rehearsal was not on the 8th, which would be the night before the wedding. Well, Silver Springs was having a concert Saturday and it's an all-day affair for them. So they said that we had to have the rehearsal on Friday evening...

Our Wedding Day - April 9th, 2006

We got married outside in a beautiful garden, with all kinds of flowers, several water fountains, green green grass and beautiful, sunny weather with a cool breeze blowing through the air to keep you just right.
