We Just moved here to Jacksonville right after we got married and are really liking it here. We moved from Ocala - http://www.ocalafl.org/ because of a great job offer to Galen. We probably will live here for a long time and buy a house and a boat and live the east coast life with our future family.

Our Trip To Merida, Mexico November 10th - 13th 2006

Friday early morning we flew out to go visit Jonathan and Rachel. For the past 51/2 months they have been living in Mexico to learn the spanish language. They have been studying hard and they do great talking to everyone there, Galen and I were impressed! This first picture is Friday afternoon after we flew in. They took us to a city called Progresso. We ate at this place right by the beach and then they drove us around to see the port where all the fishing boats go in and out. You can see one of the boats in the picture. Then we have a picture here of some houses (Thank God I live in America!). We also went to one of Beacon's supplier's. It was one of the fish plants... you can see some of the fresh fish there that was being delivered.
Saturday we went to Chichen-Itza which is some of the many Myan Ruins there. It was amazing to see. After we left there, we went to a restaurant to eat lunch and there they also had a Senote. A Senote is a very deep hole in the ground with water in it because there their rivers flow under ground. People go swimming in some of them. Those are very amazing too!
On Sunday morning, we went to Jonathan and Rachel's church. We could not understand one word that was being said, but it was a neat experience. Afterwards, we went to Kareem and Carla's house, where we sat outside on there patio and they cooked out on their grill. We had a very nice visit with them.
Then on Sunday evening we met up with Edwin and Nalda. We went to a very nice Italian Restaurant where they sang "happy birthday" to Galen since his birthday was the next day.
Kareem and Edwin are both men that are suppliers to Beacon (where Galen works) they and their families are very nice people and plus it was nice to be able to speak english and someone understand us! :)

It was a blessing for us to go out there and see them and all the things that they had been doing. We are very greatful to have the Eddy family, they are very gracious people and God has used them so much in mine and Galen's life.

DISNEY WORLD!

Thanks to my big bro, Rick, Galen and I went to Disney! We had so much fun! We stayed at this really cute Disney Resort - Port Orleans Resort - and made a weekend of it.
Anyway, Galen had never been to Disney World before because he grew up over on the other side of the US, but he has been to Disney Land. Me on the other hand had been there several times over my childhood years. That was a family favorite of ours. But going there with my wonderful hubby was great fun! I wasn't a kid anymore, if fact, this time I had one in my tummy! Here are some pictures!!

MEET THE NEW ADDITIONS:

Alley, she is the gray and white, she came to us a couple of months ago and Todd, the Tabby Kitten, he just came a week ago. When I first saw him, I didn't think that he was going to live because he was sick from being wet and cold. But he now is a ball of energy and very, very docile and sweet. I don't know what happened to his mommy or his brothers and sisters, there are a lot of people who live here that just let their cats run around and multiply. Alley, she a different story. She was kicked out and neglected by the people that live under us and we found her very skinny and starving. We later found out the story. We think that they were also mean to her, because sometimes she acts as though she was abused. But she is realizing that we wont do the same. She is having a hard time adjusting to Todd, although, he loves her!

We Will Be Missing You

At the end of this month my Brother Rick, who is a Marine, and my Cousin Jason, who is a JAG in the Army, will be leaving at the end of this month to be deployed to Iraq.
Since 9-11, they both have felt a responsibility to do what they can to fight for our country. They are sacrificing alot, and we should be so grateful. Rick's deployment is for 7 months and Jason's is for one year. Please be praying for these noble men as they risk their life for freedom.

July 31st, 2006 - Today was our first visit to see our Midwife. I was very excited but a bit anxious, not knowing what they were going to be doing or even what she was like.
It turned out to be a great appointment and Galen and I were so pleased and felt a great peace in our hearts after meeting and talking with our new Midwife. She ended up being a woman who loves the Lord! What a big time BLESSING!
There were two Great things that happened at the appointment : First! We got to hear our baby's little heart beating for the very first time, it was beating so fast. It was a truly amazing experience and for me the thought of having another heart beat INSIDE OF ME! was so incredible!!!
The second great thing that we found out was our due date. Our little one will be due on February the 17th, thats Two days before my birthday!
This was a FABULOUS day for Galen and I, and we thank God for being so wonderful!

Jonathan & Ivy's (oh and Dalton too) Visit

Jonathan had the whole week off from work for his vacation time and so they wanted to come and see us! We were very excited about having them. They came on June the 19th and stayed till Wednesday the 21st. We had a very nice visit with them. We hadn't seen Ivy in a while and she sure popped out! She looked great!
Monday after Galen got home from work we all went out to eat dinner and then went and saw Nacho Libre... great movie! Tuesday we spent the whole day shopping, while Galen had to work, when he got home we all went to Hanna Park to walk on the beach. Jonathan wanted to take Dalton and let him run freeeeeeeeeeee.

Surprise!!!!!

On June 12th 2006
I hadn't been feeling quite the same for sometime, I was noticing things that I had never expereinced before - I wont go into detail.
So that Sunday (the day before) I asked Galen if we could buy a pregnancy test...
Monday night I took it and I will let you look at the picture to see the results....

WE'RE HAVING A BABY! YAY!!!!!

The next day we headed back to St. Augustine to go on our Scooner ride. We were so excited about this! And it was - it was so much fun and very relaxing.
After our ride, we found this little deli/ sandwich place to eat lunch at. After we filled our bellies, we headed home (well, back to my home) and they got their stuff together and headed back to Ocala (sniff sniff)
We had a wonderful time together and I highly recomend going on that Scooner ride!

The FIRST time we had company come!!!

On June 5 & 6th Mom and Becky came to visit us and take me (Carrie) to St. Augustine with them. This day we had been planning for a while for Becky for everything she did for us for the wedding. It was really nothing compared to all that she did for us.
On Monday they came to pick me up and we went to St. Augustine and went to the Outlet stores and bought some stuff....
Then we headed over to Caps. Which is a cool restaurant right on the intercoastal. After that we headed back to our place and Galen gave them a tour of this area of Jacksonville that we live in. One of the places that we took them to was Hanna Park, and we took a walk on the Ocean.

Cameron's Graduation - May 27th

CONGRATS to Cameron!
He graduated at Verity, the same school Galen went to. Gavrielle started going there too last fall and next year we'll be going back up there for her graduation. Mom Houser came too, it was good to see all of them and we had a very nice weekend together.

May 20th

This was the same weekend - and we meet Kyle for lunch in the "lovely" Villages.

Jodie's BABY Shower!

I wanted, and Galen wanted me to go to Jodie's shower. I was so glad that I did. My mom came with me too and we enjoyed watching her open her gifts and be so excited about her things. I gave Jodie one of those diaper genies and my mom gave her a baby album and some adorable outfits. Jodie looked good for being 8 months pregnant!

May 13th 2006 - The Eddy Wedding

Yay, another wedding! Jonathan is a good friend of Galen's and so is Rachel. They all went to school together up in Michigan.
God has brought together Jonathan and Rachel and we wouldn't miss this wedding for anything! We are so excited for them. They got married up in Atlanta Georgia, so we headed up there for the weekend. It was a beautiful wedding and there were so many friends of Galen's that were there that also went to school with him, that he got to see, some of them the first time in two years.

May 2nd

Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to Mom Pruss! Shhh, she turns 50! But we all know that she sure doesn't look like it :)
We went to Ocala (actually Weirsdale) to visit Dad and Mom for the weekend. After church on Sunday we went out to luch with Mom and Dad and Jonathan and Ivy. We had a nice time.

Ummm, Babe, you can't fit in the truck, get out of there!

The Big Move to Jacksonville

Ok! well, our next adventure was moving to Jacksonville a few days after we got back from our honeymoon. We had NO IDEA that we had so-much-stuff! Sheesh! We had to get the biggest truck and we still had it packed full! Thanks everyone for all your wedding gifts!!!! It was great though, here we are just starting off and we had so much!
Poor ol' dad, we wiped him out. We were living on a second floor and moving in to a place on a second floor. Needless to say - alot of walking up and down stairs.
Mom was there too helping us out so much too!

Tucker! What the...

poor guy he's receeding

The Natural Bridge

This was an amazing sight to see. The Natural Bridge - one of the Seven wonders of the world!
We had to drive about two hours south of where we were staying, but it was worth the drive!
These pictures just don't do it any justice, it was so tall and wide.
To think that God made this and that no man has even touched it to make it look like this, that is a wonder!

The Luray Caverns

One day we went to The Luray Caverns to see the Stilagmites and the Stilagtites.
They said that the tempature is 58 degrees all year round - berrrr.

THE HONEYMOON

The Big Day that took so long to plan, was over - just like that! Wow! What an amazing day!
For our Honemoon we went to Luray VA. It is the northern part of the Shannondoah Valley. It was so beautiful!!! It was Spring time there and there were all kinds of trees with blooms on them and different colors of flowers growing in the fields - amazing! We stayed in a GREAT cabin (it was more like a cabin/house) It had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a livingroom with a fire place and skylights, a huge kitchen with everything in it that you could possibly need, and a wonderful deck that went around most of the cabin. Part of it was screened in, which was nice, and then there was also a nice hot-tub with a gorgeous view of the Shannondoah Mountains and the Shannondoah River flowing through the middle. It was so the best place we could of asked for!
